Rory Jennings has played plenty of roles in his short-but-successful career, from social media football pundit to EastEnders actor, yet they’re not what he considers his main profession. Ask the man himself and he’ll tell you he’s a poker player through and through.
According to Rory, “I'm a professional poker player who does a little bit of football chat on the side, because this is what I love doing.” And even though his first major live tournament cash was in 2022, his results already highlight his desire to play at the top table.
It takes skill and passion to head to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) less than one year on from his first cash and make the money again, this time for $46,500, but that’s something Rory can tick off his bucket list. He won’t be stopping there, though. What’s at the top of his wish list when it comes to poker? Winning a European Poker Tour (EPT) title, of course.
As well as seeing Rory at live events around the world, our players can look forward to him using his influencer background to offer exciting new takes on online poker tournaments, like he did with Streamer Showdown. Streamer Showdown was a cards-up contest where PokerStars users entered tournaments corresponding to each player. Rory, along with his good friend Adam McKola, took on Team PokerStars Pros in a twist on a classic format.
Rory undoubtedly brings a lot to the felt as a member of the PokerStars team in his role as an Ambassador. You should expect to see and hear a lot more from him in the future.
Rory plays online poker exclusively at PokerStars, where he plays under the username ‘ChelseaRory’.
